Calvary Baptist Church was organized in June 1950. Calvary Baptist Church is a member of the Corpus Christi Baptist Association, Texas Baptists or the Baptist General Convention of Texas, as well as the Southern Baptist Convention. The church is a small under 150 in attendance multi-ethnic congregation that has a traditional style of worship. The church supports missionary families in Senegal and Venezuela, as well as, church work in Pennsylvania. The church has been involved in long term ministries at a local prison and a neighborhood nursing home. The reputation of the church is a loving, friendly, and peace-filled family.
